You see, after decades of working in advertising, I had developed a specialty, image advertising. Image advertising is selling the positive perception of a company or product. It is not merely selling the product advantage. For example, in image advertising, you sell Gillette the Best a Man Can Get - a campaign which I and my partner Vincent-Sebastian Taschetti launched in over 120 countries around the world. You create an image, a halo, a perception to the company beyond any one particular product. You are not as concerned about whether the razor has 2 blades or four - though that certainly contributes to the perception of being the best.
Instead you concentrate on the healthy values that make Gillette as a company #1 around the world! That’s image advertising!
