"Als Systemlänge versteht man die Länge eines Paneels, genauer gesagt den Abstand von Bolzenmitte zu Bolzenmitte, in Brückenlängsrichtung."

A literal translation works fine. I also found the distance between bolt centers described as the bolt pitch, but I think this is clearer. The center is presumably the line running lengthwise though the middle.

Eigentlich geht es hier um eine Bailey bridge, die modular aus panels zusammengesetzt wird. Diese panels werden mit ca 3 kg schweren panel pins verbunden. Ein panel ist bei diesen fachwerkbrückenartigen Konstruktionen übrigens kein Paneel, sondern ein Feld. Mit einem Paneel verkleide ich etwas meist flächig ...

Die Bailey-Brücke ist eine Konstruktion die auf Einzelbaukomponenten zurückzuführen ist. Die ursprüngliche Entwicklung aus Deutschland, wurde von den Engländern übernommen und weiter entwickelt. Die Einzelelemente wiegen dabei bis zu 300Kg. Mit dieser Brückenkonstruktion ist es möglich innerhalb kürzester Zeit eine Notbrücke zu erstellen. Alle Elemente werden mittels Bolzen verbunden.
Diese Brückenkonstruktion ist aus folgenden Hauptteilen zusammengesetzt:
• Brückenfelder (Seitenwände):
Diese Bauteile sind die Hauptträger der Brücke, die die gesamte Last aufnehmen und auf die Brückenlager weiterleiten.
• Querträger (verbinden die Seitenfelder):
Diese Querträger sind die Verbindungsträger zwischen den Brückenfeldern und übernehmen die Brückenbelastung.
• Längsträger (liegen auf den Querträgern):
Auf diesen Längsträger wird der Fahrbahnbelag aufgebracht. Diese Elemente sind auf den Längsträgern aufgelegt und dienen als Grundgerippe für die Fahrbahn.
