English translation: ontvreemding = theft

Law/Patents - Law (general) / typo
Dutch term or phrase: *outoreemding* [handwritten word]
This is taken from a "bulletin van vervolgingen" written in Belgium in 1936. It is a single Dutch document in a bundle of French documents and I am trying to decipher the handwritten information. I do not speak Dutch and it is almost certain that I have transcribed this word incorrectly:

"Aard der aanklacht: autoreemding"

Further information: the suspect is an aviation mechanic/pilot, previously investigated for burglary, embezzlement, pimping, jewellery theft and general dubious character.

Is anyone able to make an (un)educated guess as to what the word could be?

Many thanks.

agree  Jack den Haan: Gelijk aan de dijk. For Wendy: meaning we got to the dyke at the same time, i.e. answered simultaneously ;-)

agree  writeaway: Asker doesn't list Dutch as a source language which might explain why the obvious typo posed a problem
