Explanation:
Also, pre-war Lviv radio circles present a very valuable set of formal documentation: Wesoła
Lwowska Fala (Merry Waves of Lviv) in the period 1933–1939, then during World War II
presented as the artistic group Czołówka Teatralna Wojska Polskiego Nr 1 “Lwowska Fala” (Polish Army Theatre Aces No.1 “Waves of Lviv”), which was collected by its members Kazimierz Jan Wajda “Szczepko”, Henryk Vogelfänger “Tońko”, Włada Majewska and Józef Wieszczek. These materials constitute varia (photographs, invitations, announcements and programmes, press clippings with reviews) from the period 1934–1945 and eight volumes of printed monologues, dialogues, sketches and songs of the Lwowska Fala from November 1939 to December 1946 (mainly by Wiktor Budzyński), printed programmes and announcements of performances and concerts, photographs of individual artists and the entire group, six albums of commemorative books of travel and performances containing entries by the audience, reviews, photographs
and letters

Leading Thespians; Leading Theatrical Lights

Explanation:
Preferably one inverted comma, rather than double inverted commas for quoting reported speech.

Leading theatrical lights (doesn't work with 'footlights') has the merit of dodging the AmE theater vs. BrE theatre spelling conundrum.

Example sentence(s):
  • Leading lights of British theatre accuse European Drama Prize of modern-day McCarthyism.

nazwa własna, nie tłumaczyć.

Explanation:
IMO na podstawie wpisu w dyskusji.

BTW istniała też
Czołówka Filmowa Wojska Polskiego, grupa reżyserów i operatorów film. powstała 1943 w ZSRR przy I Dywizji Piechoty im. T. Kościuszki.

Daję odpowiedź z poziomem pewności "I'm sure" = ja bym nie tłumaczył.

Based on my latest findings (see the discussion), I'd go for:
Czołówka Teatralna = "Czołówka Teatralna" Theatre Unit.

I don't know whether "Theatrical" is the right word in this context.

so-called Polish Army Theatre/Theater/Theatrical Unit “Czołówka”

Explanation:
The editorial staff of the PKF was formed in 1944 from a circle of people who were members of the so-called Polish Army Film Unit “Czołówka”, a group of film-makers directed by Aleksander Ford that was attached to the 1st Tadeusz Kościuszko Infantry Division. - www.t.ly/cyjD
