como ejemplo, efectivamente Utrecht, pero también existían bajo una abadía.
Se podría comparar con el principado episcopal de Lieja (Luik) o incluso Andorra, pero la denominación es evidentemente típica de los Paises Bajos (en su sentido más amplio).
