V podnikových zásadách pro nákup / zadávání zakázek:

Sourcing Event: Process by which Procurement, the Purchase Requisitioner, and other stakeholders formally identify, evaluate, and select suppliers of direct and indirect goods and services. This process is always led by Procurement and is usually executed in an e-procurement system. Sourcing Events include RFx events and e-auctions (which are reverse auctions in which there is one buyer and many suppliers, who compete to be awarded the business).

Akce je zavádějící slovo. Je to proces. Podle popisu prostě jen prověřují a vyhodnocují možné dodavatele.

Jistě, nepěkná korporátština je to i v angličtině. U takových textů je rozhodující funkčnost, takže bych prostě zvolila formulaci, která dává smysl.

Asker: Děkuji za odpověď. "Event" je ale tedy zavádějící i v angličtině podle mě. V těch zásadách se však několikrát vyskytuje i sousloví "supplier selection"... a i "sourcing and supplier selection process." Např.: All employees, particularly Procurement and those involved in the sourcing and supplier selection process are expected to explore opportunities to obtain goods and services from certified diversity suppliers that meet the company's standards.
