Als het later is gebeurd, zijn deze gaten vermoedelijk gehamerd.

disagree  Barend van Zadelhoff: That drop forging (drop gesmeede :-)) thing is a machine translation (just check the Dutch) ; as far as this 'sneedhamer' is concerned: "A tool, used by blacksmiths and other metalworkers, for cold shaping of a metal item" --> does not fit this context.
