I would rather stick to the closest form of the word "shape" in Romanian, which is similar to the English word "contour (mold to fit a certain shape)", and use "contureaza" rather than "modeleaza", which I think is less poetical in your context.

Interesanta propunerea lui Lucian. Dar, oare chiar ne fac ceea ce suntem? Noi nu contribuim cu nimic la propria fiinta? Hai sa spunem ca "ne dau formă". Hai sa traim cu speranta (iluzia?) ca avem oarece libertate! Apoi, daca e sa ne gandim la conceptul de "forma" al lui Aristotel, tot ce-am spus aici cade. Draga Jay, ma tem ca nu este vorba doar despre cum s-ar putea traduce "shape", ci despre ce-or intelege chinezii prin "formă". Scuze daca am fost confuza.

agree  lucca: Care ne formează. De fapt, aş folosi "care ne fac să fim ceea ce suntem" (utilizarea unei perifraze mi se pare mai potrivită aici). Probabil , însă, că intervenţia mea este cam tardivă.
