salon / parlor Explanation: . -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 9 hrs (2024-01-28 10:14:44 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- or 'parlor room' https://www.thespruce.com/what-is-a-parlor-room-7369909 Modern Uses of Parlor Rooms Parlor rooms are ideal for socializing but are more formal in setup than other rooms where friends and family may gather, such as a living room, family room, or kitchen. While many gathering spaces in modern households are multifunctional and contain items such as televisions, desks, and workout equipment, parlor rooms should be kept relatively simple. Due their lack of a television, the parlor room shouldn't feature lounge-like furniture |

options Explanation: It looks ambiguous, meaning both 'drawing/living room' and 'guest room'. If the latter, as distinct from the chambre d'invités, I can only imagine it is a two-bedroom en suite : two bedrooms connected by a common bathroom (and potentially another connection), but as I say, that is pure imagination. Given it's position between 'master bedroom' and 'guestroom', it would appear to be a bedroom rather than a reception room. Or maybe even a fully fitted sex dungeon …. ;-) So several options, of which the most important has to be 'ask the customer'. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day 1 hr (2024-01-29 01:46:53 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- If the house is designed or has been adapted for the elderly or the disabled, or wealthy widows with dames de compagnie, maybe it's a 'companion room' is provided in care/retirement homes, and in an NZ motel.
