Cumprimentos, Nikolaus -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-12-19 20:08:14 (GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Don\'t want to discurage you, but to me it seems improbable, that both are the same; \"Fasceíte Plantar\" is \"plantar fascitis\" in English: http://www.drmirkin.com/fitness/7359.htm it differs in three essential points from \"piezogenic pedal papules\" 1) as you could see on the slides, referenced here and in the GE>EN answer, these are slidely to the side of the foot, not realy plantar) (that\'s the least important of the arguments) 2) the \"piezogenic pedal papules\" are not an inflammation, while the fascitis is (with the famous exception of \"cellulitis\", all words ending on -itis are inflammations); accordingly, the fascitis is quite painfull, the piezogenic pedal papules are annoying at most 3) with the fascitis you do not really have papules / nodules; the \"esporão de calcâneo\" which develops late, is bony and much deeper in the tissues than papules, which are always very superficial, easily visible. Cumprimentos -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2002-12-19 20:09:47 (GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- sorry for the typo: discourage, not discurage, of course |
