Italian term or phrase: Il presente Certificato A
Hi, Isobel Grave here hoping someone can shed some light on this issue. I am translating a Marriage Certifcate of recent date. At the bottom of the certificate after the holders' details there are two notes about the certificate. One reads "Il presente certificato A" rilasciato solo per estero".The problem is the capital A and following two symbols (like straight quote marks), but the letter A also has two elongated dots above it like a dieresis symbol. The letter and the symbols make no sense, and make me think it's a glitch: the obvious meaning in context is "ïs issued". Still, it really surprises me because I have never seen an error in the pro forma part of a certificate. I'm wondering if anyone else has, or if someone might point out something I've missed, and maybe the letter A refers to a type of category. Hoping someone can help. Thanks Isobel
