Norwegian term or phrase: levere gitt
Hi,

I have a line in a conversation (transcript), a friend has to excuse herself, saying "Jeg må hjem og levere gitt," could this mean she has to go home to take over from her babysitter?

Takk for hjelpen!
Alison.

deliver
Explanation:
‘I have to deliver” and “Jeg må levere” seems to be used often in a sporting context to mean “I need to come through, do what it takes.”

So I think you’re right. She needs to go home and take over from the babysitter (if that is the context).
