The New Oxford Eng. Dictionary gives the following explanation of the word bourgeis:
"2: In Communist or socialist writing: a capitalist, an exploiter of the proletariat. (derog.)

Based on this explanation, I would refrain from using the word in any translation.

Also, 'evolution' combines both the formation and the following development, making the whole phrase compact and yet clear.

Ex: (from The New Oxford English Dictionary)
b) Times: 'The evolution of massive stars'
J. Plamenatz: 'They have quarrelled about the stage that capitalism has reached in the course of its evolution, how close it is to collaps.'
