[See below.] Explanation: 'Entre a simpatia do mundo e a decisão de vir para o Brasil há um longo caminho a ser percorrido pelos turistas.' = Translating a general good will toward Brazil into an actual visit to the country is no mean task. I think that you have to rearrange the sentence and translate non-literally to convey the intended sense in natural English. I point out in this connection that the use of "turistas" here is not really logical (because persons have to actually come to Brazil to be considered "tourists"). |
