Alcohol exposure histories are obtained from maternal report and review of medical, legal, and social service records. In Phase I, the San Diego site also included a small contrast group of subjects with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). In Phase II, two contrast groups are included: ADHD and a group of children with below average IQ scores (the IQ group). Contrast groups are described in more detail below. |
