English term or phrase: deactivate
Hi everybody,

Thank you so much in advance for all your input. I am trying to find the best equivalent in SP for "deactivate". It is about patients that have been recruited for a study and ether are two options:

1. Yes, I want to deactivate the patient
2. No, I do not want to deactivate the patient

Basically what it means is that they want to either subscribe or unsubscribe the patient from the study (wether the patient continues or not).

So I thought of "Dar de baja al paciente" but as a stand-alone statement "Dar de baja" sounds a little odd. Thank you.

Spanish translation:eliminar
Explanation:
"Dar de baja" might sound odd but I do not think it is wrong. It is highly used in Spanish when you want to express that you are removing a person from a list.

Another option could be "eliminar".

I hope it helps!

De todas maneras, también es razonable traducirlo como "desactivar". "Dar de baja" es una gradación mayor que "desactivar".
