I say 'of some kind' because the shape of this RC structure (Rostplatte) can vary. It can be a discrete pile cap atop a single pile group, or a capping beam atop a row of piles or pile groups, or a raft foundation, i.e. one whose width is great relative to its length, as opposed to a capping beam, atop piles or pile groups extending in two dimensions. |
