There is no exact one-for-one equivalence between Portuguese and English. I'm assuming this is Brazil, since that's where the asker is. Here's the difference between 'importunação' and assédio': A importunação sexual trata de crime mais grave e, portanto, com pena mais severa, que vai de 1 a 5 anos. O artigo 215-A do CP também condena a prática do ato libidinoso (que tem objetivo de satisfação sexual) na presença de alguém, sem sua autorização. Por exemplo: apalpar, lamber, tocar, desnudar, masturbar-se ou ejacular em público, dentre outros. I think in English this would fall into two categories: some of the offences would be classified as sexual assault, and others as indecency. I think 'sexual assault' would be an adequate translation in this context. Again, it's imperfect, because the list doesn't include actual rape. And here's 'assédio': O assédio sexual exige que o criminoso use sua condição de ocupar cargo superior no local de trabalho de ambos, com objetivo de constranger a vítima a lhe conceder vantagem sexual.
