disagree  B D Finch: "Extensif" et "intensif" ont des sens contraires.//In English as in French: intensive = a lot of X concentrated in a small area, extensive = an unspecified amount of X spread over a large area.

  -> certainly not "extensive" (EN) and "intensif" (FR) in this context// "intensif" = a lot - extensive = a lot (extensive damage). Agreed, in this particular case, "étendu" is better than "intensif".

irradiation étendue


Explanation:
a) "étendue" est le qualificatif habituellement employé
b) Peut-être utiliser plutôt "irradiation" que "radiothérapie". Car il s'agit d'une irradiation de conditionnement plutôt que d'un acte thérapeutique. Les cellules souches des parties du squelette non irradiées, viendront réhabiter les régions qui ont été irradiées

neutral  SJLD: réponse déjà donnée / certes - mais la question dit "extensive radiotherapy" - ce n'est pas de la radiothérapie? Et c'est justement pas l'irradiation en vue d'une greffe de cellules souches.
