I know what a hyperlink is, of course, but I have gone "braindead" on how we express links to and from a webiste, the former, I suspect, is what is being referrred to by the use of this phrase.

agree  Daniel Santana Marrero: "hyperlinks" is an old-fashioned way to say "links". I'd use "incoming links", as philgoddard says.
