Spanish term or phrase: se predica de
Bit lost on this one. Can't seem to find a fit with any of the translations or indeed definitions of the verb that work in the sentence, which is:
"Dichas diligencias y las que se acordarán en la parte dispositiva de esta resolución implican la invasión del derecho fundamental a la intimidad de una persona (no afectan al derecho al secreto de las comunicaciones, pues dicho derencho se predica de las comunicaciones "en curso", no a aquellas que ya se hayan producido y cuyo contenido esté plasmado en un documento de culaquier naturaleza..."
Any ideas?

Explanation:
It seems to me the latter right is neither based on nor attributable to..., but rather applies to, or concerns, or refers to (las comunicaciones "en curso").
