the answer to the amended complaint Explanation: Espero que esto sea lo que buscas. amended complaint n. what results when the party suing (plaintiff or petitioner) changes the complaint he/she has filed. It must be in writing, and can be done before the complaint is served on any defendant, by agreement between the parties (usually their lawyers), or upon order of the court. Complaints are amended to correct facts, add new causes of action (bases for the lawsuit), substitute discovered names for persons sued as Does, or to properly plead a cause of action (the legal basis for suing) after the court has found the complaint inadequate. the response to the extension of the claim Explanation: I have seen this 'ampliación de demanda' recently. It was in a Spanish case from Spain. In this case, 'una ampliación de demanda' meant that a claim had been extended to include other parties. This means that if you have initially made a claim against Mr B, you would extend the claim to include Mr C in addition to Mr B. I would read this particular sentence as meaning that a claim had been extended to include additional authorities. |

(BrE) the defence to the amended statement of claim Explanation: The question does not specify the US/Can. vs. UK etc. target-readership, but I agree with Juan M. that complaint is AmE and with Toni C. about a defence, rather than answer - which is confusable with a reply to a (BrE) defence > (AmE) defense.
