Spanish to English translations [PRO] Law/Patents - Law (general) / Legal
Spanish term or phrase:Titularidad
Por lo anteriormente expuesto a su Señoría atentamente solicito:
"ÚNICO. – Se me tenga por presentado lo descrito en tiempo y forma en el cuerpo del presente libelo, así mismo deje sin efecto el apercibimiento hecho a esta titularidad.
In view of the foregoing I kindly ask Your Honor:
SOLE. – That my appearance in was is described in due time and form in the body of the present petition be entered, likewise leave the warning made to this titularity without legal effect.
I'm not sure whether it is referring to the word "Titularidad" as "Ownership" or as "Entitlement"; I only found out that "libelo" means "petition" and "apercibimiento" means "warning".
Explanation: ¡Hola! 'Esta titularidad' hace referencia a la persona que está solicitando a su Señoría. Por eso, podrías solucionarlo simplemente poniendo 'me'.
"likewise leave the warning made to this titularity without legal effect" really makes zero sense asker. Consider whether to have your translation revised by a native English speaker! This is clearly not your competent language pair
I suspect Adrian's on the money here, but I agree with Neil - we need to know more about this document, otherwise we're all just guessing. With all due respect, I also agree that it certainly wouldn't be a bad idea to get this edited before delivering.
..."lo anteriormente expuesto"... before deciding how to tackle the rest. For example, "apercibimiento" could simply be a notification/formal notice, rather than a "warning" or admonition per se.
You need to get this edited by an English speaker. It's impossible to understand, even after the changes you've made, and it's not fair on the customer.
"That my appearance in due time and form in the body of the present petition be acknowledged, likewise leave the warning made to this titularity without legal effect." but that other term "titularity" is killing me, yet I can't find the correct term yet...
