It's purpose is to radiate the energy supplied by the transmitter, which brings information to all the recipients or listeners in the area. For that reason it might be its most important element or component, since a good radiating system ensures a communication channel of a quality which should reach all the locations which require coverage with the appropriately suitable signal level.
