Spanish to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Cardiology / Pacemakers
Spanish term or phrase: DAI-CTR
The following appears in a medical report for a patient with severe cardiomyopathy:
Juicio Clínico:
Fallo de captura DAI-TRC. Miocardiopatía dilatada no isquémica con disfunción severa.

I assume that DAI = “desfibrilador automático implantable” and TRC = “tratamiento (o terapia) de resincronización cardíaca”.
I believe that DAI would equate to ICD (implantable cardioverter-defibrillator) in English and that TRC would equate to CRT (cardiac resynchronization therapy).
However, I don’t appear to find any hits for “ICD-CRT failure to capture”.
Can anyone help on the best translation of “DAI-TRC” in this context?
Thanks.

ICD-CRT failure to capture

Explanation:
Causes of ***Failure to Capture*** in Pacemakers and Implantable Cardioverter-defibrillators
https://www.researchgate.net/publication/340432873_Causes_of...

Failure to capture (FTC), which means that the pacemaker stimulations do not result in myocardial activation. Failure to pace (FTP), which means that the pacemaker does not stimulate as expected. Oversensing, which means that the pacemaker senses signals that are not true P-waves or R-wave

Asker: Hi Neil. Glad you agree with what I thought. It's just that I don't seem to be able to find any exact hits on this. Note that I closed and resubmitted this question due to a misspelling in the original, so you would need to submit your answer to the new question for me to select t as the best answer.
