What we need to do is return U/I, and go back and do the fettling jobs to get the U/I (certificate issued???) ; 'Fettling' is the finishing touches in heavy industry and construction; removing welding and plaster/cement burrs, for example, repairing dodgy latches and window seals, door trims, etc. In new-build construction, the site foreman/clerk of works draws up a list of items needed to be done, a fettling list, and people are contracted to do this work. |
