standard number series Explanation: As is often the case with PowerPoints, we can only guess as to the meaning. But this seems an obvious way to translate it. |

series of normal numbers Explanation: Normal numbers mean numbers with a gaussian distribution (graphical representation). The normal distribution is the proper term for a probability bell curve. In a normal distribution the mean is zero and the standard deviation is 1. It has zero skew and a kurtosis of 3. Normal distributions are symmetrical, but not all symmetrical distributions are normal. Many naturally-occurring phenomena tend to approximate the normal distribution. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day 1 hr (2024-03-13 15:02:25 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- gaussian distribution = normal distribution Gaussian derives from Carl Friedrich Gauss, the German mathematician who identified the mathematics of normal distributions. |
