automatic renewals Explanation: The word "preconductiva" hardly shows up in any searches, and nearly all of them appear to be from Dominican Republic, so my thinking is that it may be a regional misunderstanding of the word "reconducción," as in "tácita reconducción" which relates to the automatic renewal of leases or rental agreements if no new agreement is signed. "Reconducción (Derecho Privado) V. Tácita reconducción. Ver Tácita reconducción. Prórroga expresa, y más comúnmente tácita, de un arrendamiento rústico o urbano: la renovación del mismo; el segundo arrendamiento que se celebra después de cumplido el tiempo del primero." http://www.enciclopedia-juridica.com/d/tácita-reconducción/t... I may be wrong, but it seems the most logical interpretation here, considering the paucity of references to the word "preconductiva". Maybe it would be worth suggesting this interpretation as a translator's note in your translation rather than simply translating it this way. |
