various executing officers were assigned without them being able to carry out their mandate Explanation: The International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (CCPR) of the United Nations translates "juez ejecutor" as "executing officer." Link to the Spanish document: http://ccprcentre.org/doc/HRC/Nicaragua/CCPR.C.NIC.3_Esp.pdf Link to the English document: http://ccprcentre.org/doc/HRC/Nicaragua/CCPR.C.NIC.3_Eng.pdf I would translate the sentence like this: Cases were reported in which various executing officers were assigned without them being able to carry out their mandate. |

many executor judges who were unable to carry out their mandate Explanation: I'm unfamiliar with the term 'jueces ejecutores', though it literally means 'executor judges', according to diction. '...sin que pudieran ejecutar' literally means '... without them being able to carry out ..', which is why I suggest 'many executor judges who were unable to carry out their mandate'. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 13 days (2020-05-14 20:51:09 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I simply suggested a translation of the above sentence because it was on my dashboard on the Proz site. I'm a new member and I'm trying to gain some general translation experience. Sometimes the example sentences on my dashboard for translation suggestions are excerpts from legal documents though they can be from a variety of literally, not specifically legal sources. I don't have any more texts or documents on the same topic of translation. I apologise for the inconvenience. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 29 days (2020-05-30 23:33:36 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "Se reportaron casos en que se asignaron múltiples jueces ejecutores sin que pudieran ejecutar su mandato" (en inglés " Cases were reported in which many executing officers were assigned without being able to carry out their mandate") puede ser " ..... ejecutores que no podían ejecutar su mandato."; así para el inglés "... officers who were unable to carry out their mandate". ...many executory judges were appointed without being able to exercise their term of office. Explanation: https://www.poderjudicial.gob.ni/prensa/notas_prensa_detalle... In that article you can find in Spanish the explanation of the appointment of the executory judges in order to understand the sentence, when it says "mandato" it refers to the term of office of those judges. The "jueces ejecutores" are judges who act in Nicaragua, in the link attached you can find that it is translated as executory judges, it is an official article of "Naciones Unidas".
